I have a new domain!   Yay!  So I have officially moved in over there….

Last night, my wonderful mom came by and got me my own domain! Yay!

So now, I am busy working working working on trying to figure out how to use all the cool bells and whistles that came with it…. So… while it may look like I'm ignoring my blog and all that, I'm actuall behind the scenes making my new one worthwhile….

Keep coming back… I'll post a link when it is worthy of human consumption.

This week, I have been in some training classes- Finally getting some Cisco training!

So anyway…  not much surfing going on because of it…  So if you miss me… just know I am furthuring my money making potential….

Tonight is that radio program that is reading one of my posts…  kinda cool!

And with that… my lunch is pretty much gone….  See ya'll soon! 

BTW-  Today is day 47 without smoking…   stepped down to step 3 of the nicotine patches….  2 more weeks and I'm through with those too….

Hey folks… I'll be in a training class all week, so not much time for the blog….

BUT- Check this out… Seems somebody decided to read an entry of mine on a radio show (I'm listed as a man who kills lizards- for the record, the lizard lived)…

The other thing that you could go check out today… and this one is far more important… My mom decided to let ya'll vote on if she should get me a domain for my birthday… So help me out and go tell her Hell yeah!

Anyway… I gotta get out of here… Hopefully this week will fly by… gotta go to the other side of BFE every day for training classes- but… more Cisco knowledge is always a good thing, right? Take care… and see ya when I can.

I don't know if this is everywhere, but this year seems to be the "Summer of the Mosquito".  We have them everywhere.  It doesn't seem to matter that it's not raining and there is no standing water….  I think these super-mosquitos have figured out how to breed in pools of sunlight.

The other day, I went out to light the bar-b-q.  In the process, I was almost carried away by the little winged devils until I got the thing smoking enough to pacify them for a bit.  Over the weekend was a different story….

I decided to mow on Saturday.  My yard had become some type of jungle and I got tired of using the machete just to figure out where the dogs were when they were out.  I feel that afterwards, I was a giant red bump- they would land in force and cover any area of exposed skin…   I'd swat, I'd curse, Id rub, I'd scratch… mosquitos were exploding all over me… which i think only calls more of them in… they smell the blood on the surface and come for miles to see what the fuss is about…

So after I finished mowing, I drug the bug spray out, hooked it to the hose and sprayed the front…  Great!  I had plenty for that and it actually seemed to help.  But I needed more spray if i would do the back…  no problem, off to Home Depot- I always like excuses to go to Home Depot!

Well…  Apparently i'm not the only guy with blood-sucker problems…  I joined a small group of folks comparing labels and telling horror stories in the chemical aisle… What was left of the chemical aisle at least.  I had to get some stuff to pour into the sprayer i just emptied…  no problem…  The checker told me that every single person all day long that came though his line had some type of mosquito control….  I'm amazed that there is a living creature within 100 miles of here with all the chemicals we must be spraying….

I get home, fill up the old sprayer, turn the hose on… and get a pathetic little dribble from the end…  must be jammed or something…  I screwed with it for a bit and got a half-spray…  I figured i messed up the sprayer somehow so I used it… did the whole backyard- getting eaten the whole time….  When I finished, I looked at the poison bottle… it was just as full as when I started.  Wonderful!  I disected it, and discovered a junebug had crawled in- no poison coming out at all….

I re-sprayed and figured that was that.

I think I must have gotten the wrong stuff.  yesterday, when i opened the back door to let the dogs out, a large black cloud arose from the ground about a foot from my back door…  they came in, they attacked me again… they tormented the dogs…  they blocked out my vision of daylight…

Where did they come from?  Why will they not just die?  Will I have to stay inside for the entire summer?  What happened to the trucks the city used to send out to spray?

If you see a mosqito where you are… please… do me a favor…

If you don't… I'm sure somebody in it's lineage will figure out a way to move in right outside my back door… 

I would love to get my own domain and hosting…  I asked my mom for this for my birthday, but apparently I am not communicating the value of having your own space to her….

So I would like to enlist all of you….

 List for me the advantages you see in having your own domain over having freebie blog space.  Let's see if we can convince her that it would be a great birthday present!

Some days… I think God is just showing off for all of us to see how wonderful He is. I took this on one of those days…. (if only I could have captured half the beauty…) Seeing a beautiful sunrise can make my entire day…

Today's Photo Hunt topic was community…. I figured, what a great time to thank the blogging community for all the prayers and thoughts you guys had while Stormii went through her surgery. You guys don't know how much it helped us knowing you were out there praying for things to go well…

So Thank You blogging community!

Should I make this home for now?  Should I just say screw Blogger and start posting here?  I think i'll try this out for a few days…. not post over there… just post here… and see what I think.  I probably need to get used to wordpress anyways… so why not?  Ignore the fact that on the archives there are many instances of posts in there 3 times….  I don't know what happened with the import… it's kinda screwy….
